Day by day
Every day is a card: where you wake up, what the road does, where you sleep.
DAY 01Out of the city, into the deep
An hour from Vancouver the pavement gives up. First camp is a valley the weekend crowds never find, and the city noise is already a rumour.
DAY 02The first pass
Gravel switchbacks up and over into the next drainage. Snow patches into July, and a lake at the top that dares you.
DAY 03Valley to valley
A day of linked forest service roads through country most locals have never driven. Camp beside a creek loud enough to earn its keep.
DAY 04The high bench
Up onto the benches with the big views back toward the coast ranges. Golden hour does its show and dinner runs long.
DAY 05Lake day
Short drive, long afternoon. Paddle boards, hammocks, a swim you talk yourself into and never regret.
DAY 06The back door
The quiet way around the circle, past old camps and older cedar. One water crossing, walked first, crossed grinning.
DAY 07The slow goodbye
Back over the shoulder of the range and down to pavement by mid-afternoon. An hour later you are home, and it does not feel possible.
