Day by day
Every day is a card: where you wake up, what the road does, where you sleep.
DAY 01Horsefly first
Into the gold country the miners walked. Horsefly, then Likely, then a camp on water that never made any brochure but ours.
DAY 02Quesnel Lake
The deepest fjord lake on the continent, and your camp is on it. Swim over impossible depths and sleep beside them.
DAY 03The Cariboo wagon roads
Old grades through new forest, creek names that end in Gulch, and pans in the truck if you want to try your luck.
DAY 04Barkerville day
The restored rush town, worth the tourists: gold rush streets, fresh bread, and a graveyard that tells the whole story. Camp back out in the quiet.
DAY 05Bowron edges
Along the edge of the famous canoe circuit, moose thick in the marshes at dawn and dusk.
DAY 06Into Wells Gray
South into waterfall country: Helmcken from the quiet side, spray in the spruce, camp within earshot.
DAY 07The slow goodbye
Down the Clearwater valley, one last falls, and the walkthrough. Your pan stays in the truck for the next dreamer.
The route geek sheet
The planning detail behind the line. For the spec-curious, and for knowing exactly what you're saying yes to.
