Fuel, Laundry, and the Other Small Victories

6 min read · Free and open · From the road

Nobody puts laundromats in the brochure, but three weeks into the lifestyle, finding a good one feels like summiting something. The unglamorous logistics, handled well, are what make the glamorous parts possible.

Fuel is a plan, not a hope

Every route ships with a fuel plan: where the cardlocks are, which small-town pumps keep short hours, and the longest gap you'll face. The trucks carry serious range, so the plan is mostly about never thinking about it. Cardlock stations are the north's open secret, and your orientation covers how they work.

Laundry day is town day

Stack your chores: laundromat, groceries, fuel, dump station, one restaurant meal you didn't cook. Two hours of civilization, then back out. The concierge keeps a list of the good laundromats, which is exactly the kind of knowledge a million kilometres buys.

The other small victories

A hot shower on a rainy Tuesday. A dump station right when you wanted one. Starlink pulling a weather window out of the sky before a pass. Firewood already split at a rec site. The lifestyle is a chain of small logistics won early, and the entire point of this company is that most of them arrive pre-won in the truck.
