Do I need a special licence to drive these trucks?

Most drivers qualify with a standard licence, and we confirm your exact situation on the discovery call before you ever book flights. Some rigs benefit from an air brake endorsement, and we can support you in getting one as part of training.

What's actually included?

Everything. Full kitchen and linens, recovery gear, tools, safety and comms, and the details nobody expects. The full manifest lives in The Standard on the home page, right down to the socks question. The short answer: arrive with a duffel. See The Standard.

Is fuel included?

Accepted Answer

The tank is full when you pick up, fuel along the way is yours, and you return it full. Everything else in the rate is all in: water, power, insurance, and unlimited kilometres.

Can I really camp anywhere?

Wherever the trip plan and land rules allow, which in BC is a spectacular amount of country. No campground bookings, no neighbours. We teach the etiquette and the rules in orientation.

What if I've never driven anything this size?

That's what the discovery call is for. We match the rig to your experience, orientation runs two to three hours with on-site training, and if you'd benefit from more, the boot camp exists. Plenty of first-timers do brilliantly.

Question 6

What happens if something breaks out there?

Accepted Answer

The 24-7 Adventure Concierge rides along by Starlink: technical support, off-road or mechanical assistance, and a founding team that built the trucks answering the line. Tools and spares are on board.

Are the trucks insured off pavement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On gravel and deep in the backcountry, wherever the road ends. That coverage is one of the core reasons this isn't an RV rental.

Question 8

Do I need travel insurance?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend it. Our commercial insurance covers the truck. Yours covers you, your trip and your money, and since booked trips are not refunded it is the only thing that protects what you have paid. Through our partner arrangement you can take a Global Rescue membership for field rescue and medical evacuation, with optional travel insurance and trip cancellation on top. We are not an insurance broker and we do not advise on coverage, so read the policy and make sure it covers off-road travel and remote evacuation.

Can I bring my dog?
